Trusted Parents is an all-inclusive 501©3 not-for-profit organization that focuses on the well-being of parents and guardians caring for children and young adults living with disabilities.

Founded in 2011, by Nikia & Merton Bye, Trusted Parents’ mission is to empower parents with support, services, awareness, and advocacy that will help enhance the lives of parents and their child(ren) diagnosed with special healthcare needs.

In 2016, Trusted Parents became the sponsoring agency of the Family Support Network™ of NC (FSN), to serve Mecklenburg County. As a sponsoring agency, Trusted Parents is known as Family Support Network™ of Trusted Parents as an FSN Affiliate Agency. This collaboration does not replace the services or programs of Trusted Parents, but it allows the organization to reach and serve families across the state. ​

The services offered are designed to help provide support to families as they go through the journey of coping with the tasks associated with caring for children and individuals with special healthcare needs.
